Starting today, every contractor in the Terrabillion queue has a public profile: verified award history, bonding capacity bands, service areas, and equipment classes. Owners can evaluate bidders without phone tag; contractors can stop re-proving themselves on every bid.
What is on a profile
Each profile has four sections, and every claim in it traces to a source:
- Verified awards — plugging and remediation contracts confirmed against public award records, with dates and values.
- Bonding capacity — self-reported bands, flagged when corroborated by surety letters on file.
- Service areas — counties the contractor has actually worked, derived from award locations rather than marketing copy.
- Equipment and crews — rig classes and crew counts, contractor-maintained and timestamped.
The timestamp matters. A profile that says "updated 3 days ago" reads differently from one frozen last year, and we show the date prominently so owners can weight freshness themselves.
Verification, honestly labeled
Not everything can be verified, so we label the seams. Awards confirmed against public records carry a verified mark; contractor-supplied details carry the update date and no mark. We would rather show an honest gap than a confident guess — the queue already runs on that principle for well locations, and profiles follow it.
Contractors can dispute or correct anything. Corrections with supporting documents typically clear within two business days.
For owners and primes
If you post packages, profiles change the evaluation workflow. Instead of collecting capability statements per bid, filter the bidder list by verified criteria up front: awards in-state, bonding above your threshold, equipment matching your scope. The contractors who meet your bar see a stronger fit score, and you see fewer mismatched bids to wade through.
For contractors
Claim your profile this week. The award history import covers public records back three years in most states; anything older — or anything private — you can add with documentation. Profiles with complete equipment sections are already receiving measurably more package invitations in our early data. Visibility compounds.
