- Authorizes the Tennessee Board of Water Quality, Oil and Gas (Board) to contract with a person to perform plugging or reclamation work pursuant to an oil or gas well.

- Removes the statutory cap on such bonds in the amount of $15,000 per single well site and $10,000 per well for sites with multiple wells.

- for all wells deeper than 5000 feet the bond shall increase $3000 at the rate of $1.00 for every foot deeper than 5000 feet

- $2000 for wells from 0 to 2500 feet in depth; $3000 for wells that are deeper than 2500 feet, but less than or equal to 5000 feet in depth

- an extension of up to 90 days additional may be granted

- shall be plugged within 1 year from cessation of drilling
- plug time limit nonproducing
- shall be plugged within 1 year from the date they cease producing 12 barrels of oil per year or 25 mcf of gas per month or are abandoned
- reclamation fund plugging
- This fund shall also be available to the board for expenditure for the plugging of dry or abandoned wells.

- It also may be expended to plug dry or abandoned wells not covered by a bond
